My wife (Charlene) and I are servant leaders at Refuge Church in Mobile AL, where I have the honor of serving as a board member. I am the recording secretary of the board.
My work career is composed of 48 years in manufacturing, production and inventory control. I acquired CPIM (Certified in Production & Inventory Control) From APICS /ASCM in 2006. I received a degree in Industrial management in 2010 from the University of Mobile. I have been trained in LEAN concepts, process improvements, project management, and continuous improvements. My wife recently retired from a local hospital with 35 years in the Radiology department.
We first attended Financial Peace University classes in 2007, and this helped guide us to get out of debt, save for retirement, and most of all increase our giving. We have been leading FPU both at our church and virtual classes for 5 years. Four years ago I felt the prompting to receive training to become a Ramsey Preferred Coach. Initially intending to become an expert on the subject matter. The desire has morphed into a calling to mentor couples and individuals who desperately need someone to walk beside them on the journey to debt free living. This journey, in most cases is hard, and takes commitment and accountability. Above all, it is biblically based teaching.
We are also working/coaching with Pastors and Assistant Pastors who need help with their personal finances, church operations, and leadership/talent development.

We are working with small business owners in areas such as systems, processes, hiring practices, talent development, leadership training, employee financial education, strategic planning, etc.
If someone who has reached out to you about financial difficulties, please consider referring them to Shenayim Group. We will get them on board in one of two ways…agreeing to walk and work with a coach (creating and following a plan, a strategy), or attend FPU at your church, or even at another location.
“It is a wonderful thing to have someone walk beside me that cares for me and can help me.” John Maxwell, at the Ramsey Enrichment Conference, September 2021
If you are a minister or pastor and conducting premarital counseling with an engaged couple, I ask you to consider including in your counseling curriculum for the couple to sit in the 9 week FPU classes, either before or soon after the marriage ceremony. According to many studies over the last 24 years, financial problems/money fights are consistently in the top 5 reasons for divorce, year after year.
I would like to offer my services as a Financial/Money coach, and possibly Financial Peace University coordinator if you do not have a person in your congregation/leadership team with experience leading FPU classes. (limited to the greater Mobile AL area)

We follow the principles of Dave Ramsey’s “Seven Baby Steps”. However, in a coaching environment, we routinely encounter very bad situations where we have to “stop the bleeding” and focus on activities to establish safety and stability before we can gain traction on debt reduction.
